About Us
Lacey Thread Designs is located in beautiful Lacey, Washington, next door to the Washington State Capitol of Olympia. Designer and owner, Connie Dunton, began doing embroidery in high school while confined to bed during an illness. It was the beginning of a passion and love for needlework that has only gotten stronger as the years have gone by. After being mentored by Thea Dueck of The Victoria Sampler, Connie was encouraged by many friends to publish some of her designs. But it wasn’t until daughter Amy Sue began to catch a vision for Lacey Thread Designs that Connie decided to go ahead and take the plunge. It has been an exciting and fulfilling experience for the whole family.
Connie does the designing and web site work and our three daughters pitch in to help in the business endeavors. Lizzie, our youngest, helps with the photography of the designs. Allison, our middle daughter, helps with stitching of the models and production, while our oldest, Amy Sue does the majority of office work and model stitching. Connie’s husband, John, gives a lot of encouragement and moral support! With over 50 years of combined stitching experience in the family, we are dedicated to providing you quality needlework designs!
